Launched in 2004, the Ping G2 Driver revolutionized the sport with its massive, confidence-inspiring 460cc head size, one of the first commercially successful drivers to do so.  This innovation, coupled with internal weighting for a lower center of gravity and more distance, made the G2 Driver immensely forgiving on off-center hits. The G2's focus on forgiveness and performance gains over previous drivers, along with its success on professional tours, propelled it to become one of the most popular golf drivers of all time, excelling in both distance and accuracy for a wide range of golfers.

PING launched its TiSi titanium driver in 1998, and shortly after, in 2004, introduced the first in its G line of drivers, the G2.

Both the TaylorMade SIM 2 Max and Callaway Rogue ST MAX prioritize similar goals as the Ping G2, offering large head sizes for confidence and achieving forgiveness through features like V Steel technology (SIM 2 Max) and an A.I. designed face (Rogue ST MAX).
