It is incredibly accurate and has a new structure that provides a natural whip to the head, unlike many other heads. The bottom of the head rises to the top at a different angle than other heads, which keeps the ball in your pocket longer and takes away the variables of stringing materials. The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.

The STX Hammer is widely regarded as one of the best defensive heads available. The head features new technologies like the speed scoop, C-Channel, and the strike plate on the sidewall. The speed scoop combined with the wide top of the head helps create a greater variety of approach angles for ground balls; that, plus it facilitates a smoother release to increase speed and accuracy. The C-Channel technology helps add strength and stability while creating a tighter channel for the ball to be funneled into while also improving stiffness for heavy checks. In addition, the strike plate on either sidewall adds to the impact area when throwing checks while also increasing strength and stiffness.
