Easton ADV Hype -8 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL22HYP8 If you've been a fan of Easton composite bats in the past, then step up to the dish with a Hype in hand this upcoming season! Bat Benefits Easton has bolstered this all-composite bat with a few new updates. (1) They have updated their composite material that will be featured on this signature bat. This bat has Easton's Thermo Composite Technology (similar to the TCT Material that Easton used in the past). And they are saying that this material should allow for an incredibly large barrel & sweet spot to exist while also being very lightweight. (2) The connection point on this bat has been revised to what will now be known as the ConneXion Max connector piece. This connector piece will make the bat have a stiff feel when hitting a baseball and due to there being extra Nitrocell Foam added to the connection piece, it should do an incredible job of limiting the vibration that gets down to a player's hands on a miss-hit. (3) Lastly, the handle is built with the new Pro-Stiff Carbon technology. This handle should feel incredibly solid in a batter's hands and Easton believes that top-notch hitters will really enjoy the feel it produces. A drop 8 size is great for 11-13-year-old players that have moved away from using the lighter sizes of bats. Easton is still designing this bat to feel balanced though and all types of hitters should be able to use it (contact and power hitters).
